Recently the City of Simi Valley contracted with me to photograph to new welcome sign. The sign was made by volunteers from the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise. http://www.rotaryclubofsimisunrise.com/ I gave the club this image and they used it as the banner on their website, check it out!

Vino Jazz 2007

Last night I shot the 2007 Vino Jazz Festival at the beautiful Simi Valley Town Center http://www.simivalleytc.com/ The highlight of the evening came when world renown singer Nancy Wilson thrilled the crowd. Here are some of my favorites.

Heart Walk

Yesterday I had the privilege of volunteering to take photographs at Heart Walk in Simi Valley. Heart Walk gives members the community the opportunity to raise money for the American Heart Association http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=3046600 by getting friends and family to sponsor them on a four mile walk. The weather was beautiful and the people were great!

Jessica & Josh

My wonderful assistant Wendy and I had a great time at Jessica & Josh's wedding on Sunday despite the extreme heat. It was 103º at ceremony time. The wedding was held at a local park under the shade of two beautiful trees. Turns out that the park is where Josh proposed to Jessica – very romantic. The ceremony included the bride and groom leaving under arched Samurai swords which were gifts the groomsmen. Great couple, great wedding.

Michael Chan Graphic Design

This morning it was my pleasure to work once again with Mike at Michael Chan Graphic Design in Los Angeles. Mike owns a design firm that does a lot of work for the City of Los Angeles and a wide variety of businesses. This morning we took photographs of cookware with food items beautifully arranged for the outside packaging. So when you look at the above photographs imagine them with printed product information in the open spaces. Thanks Mike.

Mist & Cool

Yesterday it was my pleasure to do my annual photo shoot over at Mist & Cool/Cloudburst. Mike Davis, owner and world class suffer, invited me to photograph various products for his catalog and website http://www.cloudburst.com/ . Mike manufactures those very popular misting systems cooling customers at many outdoor restaurants and businesses. One of the shots is a close-up of an individual mister. This shot was a challenge because we shot it outside in the parking lot with a black blanket I happened to have in the back of my car as a backdrop. When I finished the shot my pants were soaking!
